Thanks, Kevin. Evicted was an amazing book, and inspired so many people to pay attention to the crisis. Desmond's in-depth profiles and data dives were and are so valuable. But I think it is fair to say the book was not very prescriptive about how we fix this. So this book gives full overviews of and arguments for rent control, more and better public housing, revising our housing taxation/benefits structures, how to remedy housing racism, the prospects of tenant unions, etc. Hopefully that "how we fix this" approach is what it will contribute to the cause . . .
Cool book. But also - aren't those just the conclusions from Evicted? Are we still basically where we were nine years ago?

Congrats on the book publication! No easy task. And it sounds like a great resource!
